Komela Okim is a Professor Emeritus in Metal Arts from Montgomery College, Rockville MD (retired June, 2014 after teaching for 42 years). She has exhibited, conducted workshops/lectures in many parts of the world, including Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Russia, France, Germany, England, Norway as well as Canada and many parts of US. She organized and curated more then 30 exhibitions regionally, nationally and internationally with selected theme shows. As an educator & artist, she has been in the students’ scholarship selections yearly, as well as college new faculty searching committees at Montgomery College.
